Understanding the Need for Change
As a mom, I often find myself surrounded by a whirlwind of products and schedules that can sometimes feel overwhelming. In an effort to create a healthier environment for my family, I’ve started eliminating toxic products from our home. This transition not only benefits our health but enhances our connection as a family. By focusing on play and learning together, we can create a nurturing atmosphere filled with love and safety.
I am simply here to share tips from an average mom who is just trying to do better for her two asthmatic kids. I am here to share my journey of removing as much toxic chemicals I can from my little home, while still keeping life simple!
I do not have it all together, I’m not perfect but my kids should not suffer from the items I welcome into our home, so I’m destined to give them a better home while still keeping it clean!
As I share my journey, follow along!
I’ll be sharing products that I test out, recipies from a mom with a son who has ADHD + SPD ( sensory processing disorder) and a very picky 3 year old daughter. Life is challenging enough, I want to help share all the tips, tools, items, and links, to ensure we all can conquer motherhood a little more healthier and simpler.
Simple Daily Tips for a Healthier Home
Making small changes can lead to big results in our day-to-day lives. Here are some simple tips I’ve learned along the way:
- Swap out toxic cleaners: I began replacing conventional cleaning supplies with natural alternatives. My kids would cough every time I pulled out the 3 dollar bleach cleaner. I started using a healthier alternative through my wellness store, and wow has it truly made a difference!
- Incorporate play into learning: We often turn chores into fun games. Whether it’s dancing while we clean or welcoming them to help me! My kids love to clean and with the recent swap of products I made, I finally feel comfortable with them helping me clean! My house is clean( for 5 minutes) and there little lungs are a lot happier!
Building Connections Through Healthy Living
am a realistic, I am not all holistic, I am a pediatric nurse, but I do believe in the effects that toxins and certain foods have on our body and the behaviors our littles experience when they have certain items. Creating this lifestyle doesn’t have to be daunting; it can be as simple as making conscious choices each day. Ultimately, the goal is to invest in our family’s health and happiness, one small step at a time. As I learn about new products, learn different engagement tips and ways to connect with my kids, follow along and join me in this new journey!
